Russell J. Wardlaw, M.D.

Dr. Wardlaw received his medical degree from LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans, La.  He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at LSU Health Sciences Center where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor Society.  He then completed fellowship in Gastroenterology at Ochsner Medical Center. Dr. Wardlaw is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.


He maintains active membership in The American College of Gastroenterology, The American Society of Gastroenterologists, The American Gastroenterological Association, and Louisiana State Medical Society. After growing up in Mandeville, he returned home and joined Northlake Gastroenterology in 2008.  He continues to be a local leader in the medical community having served on the medical executive committees of STPH and FWMC.  He also is an active member of the Quality Committee for the Gulf South Quality Network, LLC servicing LVMC.  Dr. Wardlaw has served as principle investigator in multiple GI clinical trials including Crohns, ulcerative colitis, and ulcerative proctitis.


Dr. Wardlaw is on active staff at St. Tammany Parish hospital, Lakeview Regional Medical Center, Fairway Medial Center, Regency hospital of Covington, Northshore Specialty hospital of Covington, and NorthOaks Medical Center in Hammond.
