Northlake Gastroenterology Welcomes Dr. Lara Boudreaux to Covington

Northlake Gastroenterology Associates is proud to welcome Dr. Lara Boudreaux, a Louisiana native and eager gastroenterologist, to its Covington clinic. Dr. Boudreaux will begin seeing patients in July 2025 and brings with her a deep commitment to the health and well-being of this community.

Born and raised in St. Amant, Dr. Boudreaux has strong roots in Louisiana. She earned her undergraduate degree from LSU, where she was a proud member of Chi Omega, before going on to complete her medical training entirely within the LSU system. She attended medical school in Shreveport, completed her internal medicine residency in New Orleans, and stayed on at LSU New Orleans for her gastroenterology fellowship, where she also served as chief fellow.

Dr. Boudreaux specializes in many aspects of general gastroenterology, including colon cancer screening, women’s digestive health, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), and non-surgical hemorrhoid care. Whether she’s treating chronic conditions or helping patients navigate new diagnoses, she believes the best care starts with truly listening. “Every patient brings a story,” she says. “My job is to understand that story and help people feel heard, understood, and supported to assist them in building a treatment plan that fits their life.”

Outside the clinic, Dr. Boudreaux is a wife and mom to her daughter Ryan (3) and son Rhodes (1). She and her husband Logan are thrilled to put down roots in Covington and become part of this vibrant community. Most weekends, you’ll find them out on the water with their kids or cheering on the Tigers during baseball and football season.

Dr. Boudreaux is excited to bring her clinical expertise, Louisiana upbringing, and approachable style to patients across the Northshore. She looks forward to building long-term relationships with patients and families who value compassionate, expert care.
